The first round results

We are also happy to announce the winners of the previous round:

  • Karyn Chappell (Department of Mechanical Engineering)

Karyn will attend the Introduction to Artificial Intelligence for Radiographers course at City University in November. Through this course, she aims to enhance her understanding of AI’s impact on radiography practice and later share her knowledge with students from the International Society of Magnetic Resonance Radiographers and Technologists Future Leaders in Africa programme.

  • Dr Christa Hansen (Department of Surgery & Cancer)

Christa will attend the Advance HE Artificial Intelligence Symposium 2025 to develop her knowledge of best AI practices in higher education and further her AI literacy to better support students.

  • Asimina Mertzani (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering)

Asimina participated in the ACSOS conference 2024 as an attendee, Demos and Posters Track chair, and panel chair. The grant supported her travel expenses, enabling her to attend the conference, chair sessions, and make valuable academic connections.
